ESCO - An overview of the threat from and available resources to combat counterfeit and fraudulently market components

Components are often ‘recycled’ from illegally exported WEEE, ‘cleaned up’, re-marked with new date or batch codes, sometimes with higher spec codes….although there are multiple alternative sources including fraudulently recovered factory rejects, illegal manufacturing often with inferior or missing elements.
